The mission of the Conanicut Island Growers Group is to

Promote local farming in the community of Jamestown on Conanicut Island in Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island.

Advance local agriculture through individual hard work, professional development, collaborative thinking, innovative partnerships, recognition of both individual and the collective good, and friendly social interaction with each other and the community at large.

Produce economically viable and healthy agricultural products, and make these products available to the community.

Educate our community about the availability and superiority of local farm products and partner with schools and other community organizations to develop a greater understanding of the importance of sustainable agriculture and the value of healthy food.

It is further the commitment of the Conanicut Island Growers Group to accomplish these goals in a way that is sustainable, and that recognizes the sensitive natural environment and unique beauty of Conanicut Island.

The Conanicut Island Growers Group is an element of the Conanicut Grange and all members of the Group are members of the Conanicut Grange.
